Adam Mason
Adam was admitted as a Barrister in 2011, whilst working as prosecutor for the Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads. This role focused on regulatory prosecutions and appeals regarding the heavy vehicle, maritime and fisheries industries.
In 2014, Adam commissioned as a Legal Officer in the Australian Army (permanent forces). He served in the 7th Combat Brigade, Directorate of Operations and Security Law and the Office of the Director of Military Prosecutions.
In June 2018, Adam was selected by the American National Association of Attorneys General, to contribute to the International Fellows Program in Washington DC. From late 2018 to mid 2019, Adam deployed as a Legal Advisor to the Middle East and Afghanistan. This included the conducting inquiries regarding Australian operations in Kabul.
Adam went to the private Bar in June 2020, practising in criminal law, regulatory prosecutions, domestic violence proceedings, family law, coercive hearings (CCC/ACIC) and inquires. Adam regularly appears in court representing individuals, or various Queensland and Commonwealth government departments.
Adam is a regular advocacy instructor for the QUT Legal Practise (PLT) course, and he also practises in Ipswich, as a member of Blair Chambers.
